What to Expect This Season
We are very excited to start welcoming back all of our guests for the upcoming season. The need to get outside and be active with friends and family is more important than ever and there’s no better way to do that than skiing and snowboarding in the winter. All of our guests can expect the same great service you’ve come to know at Rabbit Hill. However, this season your visit will look a little different to ensure the health and safety of both you and our staff is maintained. We have been working with our industry partners and Alberta Health Services to provide everyone with a safe environment while still ensuring a great skiing and snowboarding experience.
Below are some of the policies and procedures we have implemented in order to comply with local and provincial health and safety regulations. Hours of Operation
If you’ve ever been down to the hill on a weekday then you have encountered the hundreds of school kids that we host on a daily basis. Currently we are expecting that there will be no field trips for the coming school year. Due to this severe loss in visits and revenue, we will be adjusting our weekday hours of operation in order to adjust for this loss of business. For the coming season you can expect our weekday hours to be 5pm to 9pm. Our weekend hours will not change and will continue to be 9am to 5pm.
For holiday weekdays, school PD days and Teacher’s Convention days, we will strive to be open 9:30am to 9pm. However, this will be completely dependant on our ability to staff these extended hour days. Please check our Hours of Operating page for the most up to date information.
Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Family Day will continue to be 10am to 4pm for our operating hours. We will be closed Christmas Day.
If the unlikely decision to allow for school field trips is made, we will revert back to our normal weekday operating hours of 9:30am to 9pm.
Planning Your Visit
In order to adhere to physical distancing and other health guidelines we will be limiting the number of people that can visit Rabbit Hill on a daily basis. Anyone that wishes to visit us this season will be required to book their visit online in advance. This will include all lift tickets, rentals, lessons, Flexi Passes, Embrace Cards, voucher holders and club members. There will be no option to show up to the resort and purchase a lift ticket, rentals or lessons for riding that day.
At this time season pass holders will not be required to book ahead. However, this could change based on daily demand and updated operating procedures and guidelines. There will be a central season pass holder checkpoint where all pass holders must scan in before they go riding. This will allow us to track pass holder visits and provide contact tracing for Alberta Health Services should the need arise.
We know that booking online ahead of time is a big change for most of our guests. This is being done to ensure that we can provide a safe environment for both you and our staff. We very much appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate operating in this new age of COVID.
All lift tickets must be purchased online in advance. We will be selling lift tickets in blocked time periods and your ticket will only be valid for the time block you choose.
5pm to 9pm and the last 2 hours (7pm to 9pm).
9am to 12:30pm, 1pm to 5pm and the last 2 hours (3pm to 5pm). The 30 minutes between the morning and afternoon time blocks is there to allow time for the returning and sanitizing of rental equipment and for theday lodge to be cleared before afternoon guests arrive.
Lift Ticket Pickup
When you purchase your lift ticket online, you will be emailed a barcoded receipt. You must present this receipt at one of our outside ticket windows in order to receive your lift ticket. All online lift ticket and rental purchases MUST be redeemed at our outside ticket windows before you will be able proceed to the rental shop or the lifts. We will have ticket checkers at our lifts scanning for valid tickets and passes.
The inside Customer Service counter will only be available for season pass, Embrace card and Flexi pass pickup, lesson check-in and Gift Card pickups.
