Getting Started is Easy with a Little Help
Skiing and snowboarding is fun and exciting however arriving at a resort and being on snow for the first time can seem a bit intimidating. Rabbit Hill Snow Resort is all about having fun on snow so we want to give you a few tips to make the experience the best possible.
First of all if you have never been on snow before or have only given it a try once or twice the single best advice is to TAKE A LESSON from a professional. We offer all sorts of one day, three day or private lesson packages to fit your schedule. Getting instruction from a professional will not only teach you how to ski or snowboard properly and quickly but will also familiarize you with the ski or snowboard equipment, different types of ski lifts you will be using and where to or where not to be skiing or boarding.
Because of the individual nature of the sport and the environment of all ski areas being on snow is both challenging and rewarding to each and every participant, however it also means that participants outside of lesson times can not be supervised by staff at Rabbit Hill . As such we do not recommend that children under 12 years of age ski or snowboard unaccompanied. Children when not in a lesson are responsible for their choice of where they ski or board and their individual behaviour. If you or a responsible individual do not wish to accompany your Children or feel they need supervision while on the hill our Xtreme Fun Club provides a structured and supervised program for children 7 to 14. We do expect that all participants obey the Alpine Responsibility Code while on the hill.
When you arrive at Rabbit Hill if you are in a car you will need to park in the public parking area and walk to the Day Lodge located to the east of the parking area. If you arrive on one of our Weekend Busses it will drop you off at the walkway to the Day Lodge. The first sales area you will see is our daily lift ticket sales window located on the west outside wall. You do not need to stop here unless you or someone in your group is only interested in a Day Lift Pass.
If you require lessons or season pass check-ins, proceed inside to guest services. If you are registered in a lesson program proceed inside the Lodge and go to the Guest Service desk located in the Lobby area of the day lodge. Our Guest services desk will check you into your lesson; provide you with general information and advice.
For rental equipment you will need to go to our Rental Shop located to the immediate east of the Day Lodge however make sure you have checked in at Guest services or purchased your day lift pass before proceeding to the Rental shop.
Renting equipment to start with is the best and most economical way to introduce you and your family to the sport. Very affordable Equipment packages are available for each lesson package and we also offer Daily Rental Rates and Seasonal Rental equipment.
If you plan to ski or board on a regular basis this season the best possible deals are Season Lift Passes and Season Rental Passes . Season passes offer you many benefits such as discounts on all group lesson programs as well as discounts at many of the Mountain Resorts. We also offer Flexi Passes for those of you that want a less expensive lift ticket but do not plan to be at the Hill more than 6 times over the season.
Families are very important to us at Rabbit hill and as such we have put together very affordable packages for the family. Family Season Lift Passes , Family Season Equipment Passes , Family day passes all provide the best price for a family whether you are just starting out or ski and board regularly. Remember, skiing and snowboarding are one of the few winter sports you can actually participant together as a family. It is fantastic family fun.
